Brussels Street Cleaners

Tidying up after a market and heavy rain. The green and red uniforms make them stand out, which is good from a health and safety perspective, but it's not bad either for photographers either. Like the cleaners, we don't like working in the rain that much.

Brussels had a reputation for being a dirty city, but there have been real improvements.

Cleaners do their job regularly in Brussels but keeping a place clean is mainly the responsibility of the inhabitants, isn't it?

I happen to live right around that there corner and I must say this is quite a difficult neighboorhoud to clean up. I have the utmost respect for the cleaning people, it's a neverending job, but improvements have been made indeed!
