Outside the Polling Station

A nice lady from Ecolo - the francophone ecologist/green party kindly held up a tiny leaflet (one way of saving paper) as we went to vote.

The result is coming in this morning to widespread apathy and it looks like we're going to get a new Prime Minister as our current one, a Bill Gates lookalike has lost badly. Instead we may be getting Yves Leterme, previously best known for describing Belgium as "an accident of history", with "no intrinsic value" and that the only things in common Belgians have were "The King, the football team, some beers..."

He's now looking like being PM, although it will take until September to bodge a coalition together.
