No More Coal

This morning I went to a small demo outside the European Parliament, organised by several environmental groups, protesting against plans to build 50 coal fired power stations.

They want carbon emission limits on such stations and more renewable energy. To demonstrate their point that had several people dressed as chimneys attacking a globe.

I remember being in the UK in the eighties when the government wanted to close all the pits and our cry was 'Coal not Dole'.

I had a stand up row with one of those numpties. When the pensioners start dying of cold in the wointer because the price of energy has skyrocketed, I do hope they will remember their little efforts

I'm going to keep warm this winter by burning Yuppies.
