The Sound of Loch Laeken
Walking between the Grand Place and Bourse, I heard the wail of bagpipes being prepared. So, I followed the sound and met this bunch of pipers, that looked to be playing before a meal or something. They were superb, the sound echoing off the narrow streets.
In a break between chants I told one of them how much I was enjoying it. he replied in a heavy accent. I asked where he was from and he replied "wallonia".
This was a gathering of Belgian pipers from different societies. I was amazed that they weren't Scottish. They were really authentic and superb musicians.

Did he say it in a Scottish accent? Wallonia can sound very much like Caledonia if you're from certain parts of Glasgow.
