There are 9 million bicycles in Brussels ...
Brussels has tried to encourage visitors and locals alike to use bicycles that are for hire.
"Cyclocity: Brussels wide environment project allowing bicycle hire and drop off at various points in the city. Credit cards accepted. 250 bicycles available from 23 stations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week."
Personally, I haven't seen it to be much of a success but it's far better renting a bike than taking your own into the city only to have it nicked.

Especially if it is limited to the Brussels pentagon... I would use it, if I could pick up/drop my bicycle in Schaerbeek and the rest of the Brussels region.
Really silly. How can politics be this stupid?
