Each third Wednesday of September, Producers from the Province of Luxembourg bring their products to Brussels. The 21st market took place today on Luxembourg Square.
Local charcuterie, cheeses, beers... and Maitrank, or “May drink”, which is a seasonal beverage concocted from Moselle white wine, woodruff, sugar, cognac and orange slices.
For those who missed the event, here's what the atmosphere was like around Place du Luxembourg today, in spitting distance of the European Parliament. If you ask me, these guys had too much Maitrank, or trappist beer, or perhaps both. You know the popular walloon song "Li p'tite gayole", don't you? Here goes...
